Our Return under Phase 1 Parameters

I know many of you are anxious to get back to the club so it was good news on Friday when Nova Scotia released the phased plan for reopening. Thank you for your inquires and your patience as we navigate another reopening and new rules.

We are fortunate Fitness Facilities were included in Phase 1 Ontario Gyms are in Phase 3 and will have a much later opening.   Below is the sector-specific information for each Phase.

Nova Scotia Reopening Plan Specific to Fitness Facilities

Phase 1- Gyms, fitness, and sport and recreation facilities can have outdoor programs with groups of 10 people and one-on-one personal training indoors.

Phase 2- Gyms and fitness facilities can operate at 50% capacity

Phase 3- Gyms and fitness facilities can open at 75% capacity.

Phase 4- Gyms and fitness facilities can open – capacity to be determined

As you can see this is a gradual reopening plan and we realize not everyone may be ready or able to take advantage of Phase 1 so we encourage you to participate in our June Challenge (move more than Greg) or take advantage of our Online Services (Optimal).  We expect Phase 2 will provide us with the opportunity to welcome you back with our familiar Zone bookings.  We will not be restarting membership fees until the club is available for Zone bookings there will be a separate notification at that time.  Timeframes for each Phase are determined by the province, it is really a wait-and-see approach. 

Below are some details of how you can get started back to the club in Phase 1. 

PWFC Phase 1 Reopening- June 2

1 on 1 Training Indoors

  • Using the facility in this phase requires you to have an appointment with one of our Trainers. We will be not making any exceptions to the set guidelines. 
  • Our Protocols remain in place – ie masks only to be taken off while in zones, frequent disinfecting, pre-screening etc.  Access cards will not be activated at this time
  • Attn. Members: You may have up to 3 unused appointments (Orientation, Birthday Session) on your account that can be used during Phase 1

    • Go to member portal or App

    • Click Book an Appointment 

    • Choose Fit Coach G 

    • Choose a Day and reserve a time

    • If you have issues send us an email, we are happy to help.

  • Current Personal Training Clients will be contacted to schedule sessions

  • If you would like to purchase Personal Training you can do this online and schedule sessions with Greg or Dominic. 

This is a great opportunity for you to try Personal Training and get a kick start on Summer.

Outdoor Groups

  • Outdoor Groups of 9 participants and an Instructor are permitted. 
  • There will be no access to change rooms for Group Participants in Phase 1
  • We would like to restart outdoor Yoga this Summer and possibly other classes as well, however, we need to be sure there are sufficient people back in their offices and interested in participating so we expect this will be reintroduced in an upcoming phase. If you are interested let us know

  • Outdoor Burn Bootcamp can start if there are enough people interested- we will be reaching out to past participants but if you would like to try it or would like more information let us know.
