How busy does the gym get?
Our busiest times are usually between 12:00-2:00 and 4:30-5:30, but they are very manageable and not comparable to “busy” times you may experience at other gyms in Halifax.
Our strategic scheduling of group fitness classes, combined with our courteous members, helps ensure the workout flow is always extremely reasonable. Waiting for equipment is very rare even at our busiest times.
Are group classes included in my membership?

Small-group training is also a high-value option for members and non-members alike to achieve similar benefits to working with a personal trainer in a group setting.

Are your classes offered at different levels?
Our drop-in group fitness classes are inclusive of all fitness levels, and modifications are offered to fit everyone’s needs.
Our small-group training sessions have a specific focus, are progressive, and are guaranteed to have an ideal coach-to-participant ratio to ensure you achieve a safe, productive workout and the results you are looking for.
Do you have personal trainers?
Yes, we do! Our team of transformation and performance specialists are professional, experienced and certified.
Our personal training options are extremely flexible and provide exceptional value.
Will there be instruction on how to use the equipment?
We provide a 1-on-1 orientation with a personal trainer included in your membership.
Our expert staff will spend the time to understand your goals, your strengths, and weaknesses. We’ll provide clear instruction and guidance on proper technique, programming, progressions and the principles of fitness to help you reach your health objectives.
This session is customizable and for each new member regardless of experience.
What are your corporate rates for membership?
GET STARTEDWe offer special corporate rates for Purdy’s Wharf tenants on month-to-month memberships, with a discounted enrollment fee.
We also offer memberships to non-tenants for a nominal enrollment fee. Receipts are available through our self-serve portal year-round for submission to a company wellness plan.

How do payments work? Do I have to commit to an annual membership?
GET STARTEDWe offer annual paid-in-full membership rates, as well as convenient month-to-month options.
Monthly payments can be made by automatic withdrawal from a bank account (voided check required), Visa or MasterCard.
What should I bring to class?
Just wear breathable workout gear, bring a water bottle, and a towel. We’ll handle the rest — equipment, vibes, and structure.

How do I book classes?
You can book your class directly on our website, via the member portal or on the Achieve app by Wellness Living. Once downloaded, search for Purdy's Wellness and Fitness Club.
What do I need to get started?
